Personal details we process
The Other Half processes your personal details if submitted because you use our services and/or you give these details to us yourself. We process the following details:
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Bank account number
Special and/or sensitive information we process
Our website and/or service does not have the intention to collect data from website visitors under the age of 16 years old, unless they have the permission from a parent or caretaker. However, we cannot check if a visitor is older than 16 years. Therefore, we recommend parents and caretakers to be involved in the online activities of their children to prevent that personal details are being collected without such parental permission. If you are convinced that we have collected personal details of a minor, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will delete this information.
Purpose and basis of us processing personal details
The Other Half processes your personal details in these instances:
- To carry our services or delivery of goods as requested by you
- Filing and finalising your payment
- Sending our newsletter, advertisement and promotions if requested by you
- To call or email you in order to carry out requested service or delivery of goods. We will not use your details to contact you for unrequested purposes.
- The Other Half also processes personal details when we are legally enforced to do so, like details needed for the tax authorities.
Automated decision taking
The Other Half does not take any decisions based on automated procedures that can have any (grove) consequences to anyone. Hereby, we refer to computer programs and or systems that do not need a human being. The Other Half uses the following computer programs or systems:
- G-Suite and Gmail
- Google Analytics
Period of saving personal details
The Other Half does not save any personal details longer than absolutely necessary to reach the purposes for which your details were collected. We use the following saving periods for the following categories of personal details:
Your email address and name are saved by Google and Hubspot. The saving period of these details is unlimited, as you can unsubscribe whenever you want by clicking at the link in the newsletters, or by sending an email to email@example.com.
At the moment that you reach out to The Other Half by email, the details you send with it, like your name, business name and email address, will be saved at the email server. These emails are saved for an unlimited time.
The data that Google Analytics collects is anonymous, and therefore not connected to your name, business or email address. These details will be served for an unlimited time within Google Analytics.
Sharing personal details with third parties
The Other Half does not sell or share any personal details to third parties, except in the case when this is required for the carrying out of services or delivery of goods, in which case only the required details will be shared, or to fulfill any legal requirements. Companies that are commissioned by us and that use your details, have signed an agreement that ensures the same level of security and privacy as we use. The Other Half stays responsible for these uses.
Cookies, and comparable techniques that we use
The Other Half only uses technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not breach any privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is being saved on your computer, tablet or smartphone, at the visit of our website. Cookies that we use are necessary to ensure the technical workings of our website, and for your user friendliness. These cookies make sure that the website functions as it should and in accordance to your preferences, and allows us to optimize our website. You can stop the saving of cookies by adjusting your web browser settings. Next to this, you can delete all cookies that have been saved on your device.
If you leave a comment on our site or submit a request through a form, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Inspect, amend or delete details
You have the right to inspect, amend or delete your personal details. Next to this, you have the right to withdraw the permission that you have given us to process your details by The Other Half. You also have the right to request a transfer of your personal details. This means that you can send a request to send you the personal details we have of you in an electronic file, to you or any requested organization.
Your request to inspect, amend, delete or transfer your personal details, or a request to withdraw your permission of data processing can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
To make sure that your request is done by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identification document. Your photo, machine readable zone, identification number and personal number should be marked black. This is done to protect your privacy. We will respond as soon as possible, but within four weeks, to your request.

How we secure personal details
The Other Half takes the protection of your personal details seriously and will take appropriate action to prevent abuse, loss, unrequested access, undesired publication and unauthorised amendments.
